Design is always changing and evolving, and so are our personal tastes. I've never been one to consciously follow trends, but like everyone else, I'm influenced by cultural shifts and influences from within and without.

The nineteen- eighties, nineties and early two -thousands were an explosion of color, pattern and personality. The natural response to a couple of decades of this has been the whites and greys and simple linear forms of the past twenty years. 

Now, it seems that stark minimalism has run it's course, and people long to feel warmth, coziness and uplifted by their home interiors. Especially in a mountain environment like Sun Valley that 'normally' has six months of snow on the ground!
